Job Summary

 

This position is responsible for managing the admissions process for multiple health sciences programs, including ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing), RN-BSN (Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing), ADH (Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene), and BSDH (Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene). This position is responsible for application management to include overseeing the application process, conducting interviews, providing guidance to prospective students, and ensuring compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.

 

Application Management

 

• Oversees the entire application and admission process for ASN, RN-BSN, ADH, and BSDH programs

• Coordinates the admissions process for the Health Sciences programs from application to admission

• Reviews and processes applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate

• Generates acceptance and denial letters

• Evaluates transcripts and credentials to determine eligibility for program entry

• Responds to student inquiries by telephone and in person

• Assists applicants with application process

• Serves as a liaison to the School of Health Sciences

• Prepares documents/minutes for and leads the Health Sciences Admissions Committee

• Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

 

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of an associate degree

• Must be able to relate well and develop working rapport with faculty/staff, internal department, other departments, and the external healthcare community

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
