Job Summary

 

The ORK,Old Red Kimono, Art Editor will work with faculty advisors to create the ORK cover art, solicit art submissions, select work for inclusion in ORK, photograph artwork, create the layout, edit multiple drafts, and distribute ORKs to all GHC locations.

 

Georgia Highlands College offers excellent opportunities for students to grow their skills while furthering their education.

 

Applicant must be a GHC student.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Creates the ORK cover art

 

• Solicits, evaluates, and photographs art submissions

 

• Notifies artists of the status of their submissions

 

• Creates the layout and edits multiple drafts

 

• Organizes annual release parties

 

• Distributes magazines to all locations

 

Required Qualifications

 

• Painting/drawing ability

• Good computer skills

• Availability at least 2 afternoons per week in January and February, 3 afternoons per week in March and April

• Minimum 2.5 GPA

 

Must be a GHC Student
