The Read to Grow initiative provides additional classroom reading support for first-grade students in Bartow County Schools. One of the most important predictors of high school graduation is reading proficiency in third grade. Before then, students are learning to read. After third-grade, students are reading to learn. Read to Grow places volunteers in first-grade classrooms to help students with reading.
