Georgia Highlands College will have a study abroad program to China, May 25-June 2, 2018. In conjunction with the college's launch of its new BBA programs in Healthcare Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management, the theme of this study abroad program is “Business and Culture in China.” While the trip to China is mainly aimed at students, businesses in Northwest Georgia who are interested in learning about how to do business in China and how to navigate Chinese culture are welcome to send employees.

Georgia Highlands College's trip to China will take travelers to incredible places that will help them learn about China's rich culture and its dynamic business environment. Our group will arrive in Beijing and will see Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China. We will also visit a major company (tentatively Coca-Cola) in Beijing and will attend a university lecture on “Doing Business in China.” We will then travel to the city of Xi'ian, an ancient city more in the center of China, to see the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit. Our trip will conclude in the port city of Shanghai, the business center of China, where we will tour the major areas of the city, such as the business, shopping and port districts. We will also visit a major corporation (tentatively Volkswagen) in Shanghai.

The price of the trip for business travelers is $4,700. This price includes round trip airfare, ground transportation in China, hotel accommodations, some meals, site visits, bilingual guides and tips to the guides. Passport and Visa costs (about $150 for China), as well as some meals, are not included.
