“It is necessary, then, to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”     Wallace D. Wattles

This week is a time to count our blessings and to give thanks for the gifts and privileges in our lives. While many of us turn our thoughts to shopping and giving after the big feast, let’s also stop to consider one of Bartow County’s greatest assets – our small businesses. We urge you to show your thanks to the small businesses in our community by participating in Small Business Saturday on November 24. Buying your gifts and seasonal supplies from a local merchant not only helps support that business, but contributes to the local economy by circulating money at HOME. Thriving small businesses are a key component to a healthy community, and you can do your part by shopping locally whenever possible. You can also search for businesses by category or name using the Chamber’s online business directory at www.cartersvillechamber.com

I have read many times that if you are grateful every day for everything in your life, then you will receive more to be grateful for. The power behind expressing heartfelt gratitude for the many blessings in life that are often times overlooked and taken for granted is immeasurable. A simple thank you to a friend, co-worker or family member can brighten someone’s whole day.

The Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce is very grateful for our members and those that renew their membership each year. You all are truly the backbone of our community, always willing to put your money and your man-hours where your mouth is and do what is needed to help our community. You understand the importance of not just being located in our community but being an integral part.  I ask you all to give yourselves the ovation you deserve. Our members are the very BEST! Thank you.

I want to say “Thank You” to our Chamber's Board of Directors, Ambassadors and numerous volunteers. And thank you as well to our partners in the community who can always be counted on to do what's in everyone’s best interest.

Thank you Chamber staff, Joe, LaDonna, Leslie, Joy and Nancy. Thank you for all you do to make our office run smoothly and such an enjoyable place to work!

I conclude in saying, I’m Chris Thomas, Membership and Marketing Director of the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce and I am proud and thankful to serve this Chamber and this community.  On behalf of our Chamber family to yours, we wish you a blessed and happy Thanksgiving holiday.  And remember… be thankful.  In every thing give thanks… 1 Thessalonians 5:18
