Harbin Clinic Presents Gal Talk Women’s Conference

Rome, Ga., July 1, 2014 – Harbin Clinic announces plans for a half-day women’s conference set for July 25, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Historic DeSoto Theatre in Rome. Gal Talk is a power-packed morning of keynote speakers, educational panels and professional networking designed to inspire women to strive for their best in health, wellness and career advancement. “Gal Talk is a tribute to the growth of women’s leadership and an inspirational way to gather ideas from bright minds who are all focused on empowering females in health, wellness and leadership,” said Kenna Stock, Harbin Clinic executive director.  “We think women of all ages will find something exciting and relevant to their lives.

Conference speakers include Gretchen Kuglar Corbin, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs; Anne Kaiser, northwest region vice president of Georgia Power, Evie McNiece, former mayor of Rome, current city commissioner and owner of Accounting Solutions Plus, and Representative Katie Dempsey. A health and wellness panel will be led by Harbin Clinic physicians Dr. Melissa Dillmon, Dr. Archana Koganti and Dr. Diana Vallecilla. The morning will also focus on the future generation of women leaders with a panel discussion led by Harbin Clinic physician Dr. Robersteen Howard and Bettyann O’Neill, vice president of advancement at Berry College.

            Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the Shoebox Project, benefitting the Open Door Home, a local organization that cares for the neglected children of the community. To complete the project, conference attendees are asked to fill a shoebox with full size toiletry items. Representatives from the Open Door Home will be on-site at the conference to collect the donations.
