Chris Mosley Named CEO at Cartersville Medical Center

CHRIS MOSLEY NAMED CEO AT CARTERSVILLE MEDICAL CENTER
 
Cartersville, GA; January 30, 2017 – J. Christopher Mosley has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Cartersville Medical Center. Mosley will begin his role on March 1, replacing Keith Sandlin, who recently announced his retirement after 34 years as CEO.
 
Mosley is the current CEO at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, Florida in HCA’s North Florida Division.  A 99-bed acute care facility, Putnam Community Medical Center is similar to 119-bed Cartersville Medical Center in regard to service lines. Under Mosley’s leadership during the past two years market share, employee and physician engagement, and patient satisfaction increased significantly.  Prior to his term at Putnam Community Medical Center, Mosley was Chief Operating Officer at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida and Vice President of Operations at Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, South Carolina. He has been employed with HCA since 2010.
 
Mosley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky and a master’s degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. An active member of the Putnam community, Mosley is involved in a number of organizations, including the Palatka Rotary Club, Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Rodeheaver Boy’s Ranch Board of Directors, and Putnam County Superintendent of Schools Advisory Board.
 
Mosley will relocate to the area with his wife, Leah, and sons, Dashel, age 4 and Revere, age 1.
