CELEBRATION SUMMER
Bartow County Library System launches Adult Summer Reading Program on June 1st

“Celebration Summer” is this summer’s theme for adults at the Bartow County Library System. Participate in programs related to various anniversaries being commemorated this year, such as the 240th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service, 50 years since the TV show Star Trek premiered, and 25 years since the book Outlander was first published. Read three books of your choice and attend one program this summer for a chance to win one of the themed grand prize packs - Independence Day, National Parks, and Shakespeare (honoring 400 years since his death). At the end of July the Friends of the Library will host a reception in honor of the 10th anniversary of the current Cartersville Public Library building being open.

The library is hosting numerous "Celebration Summer" programs during June and July, and a list of the more prominent events is attached. A complete listing is available on our online calendar, or in a forthcoming printed brochure available at any library branch.

There will be a special drawing for Creative Coloring participants. Anyone who attends an adult coloring event at any library location will be entered to win one of three adult coloring books, one at each library branch.

The program begins June 1st. Register online or in person at any branch, and receive a Chick-fil-A coupon for a free milkshake while supplies last. For more information, and to check our schedule of events, call the library at 770-382-4203 or check out our website at www.bartowlibraryonline.org
