Cartersville Medical Center Volunteer Receives Frist Humanitarian Award

Cartersville, GA; April 19, 2019: The 2018 Frist Humanitarian Volunteer Award winner was announced at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon held last Friday at Cartersville Country Club.  Created in 1971, the Frist Humanitarian Award honors outstanding individuals for their humanitarian and volunteer activities.  

A volunteer at Cartersville Medical Center for over 20 years, Evelyn Mullreed was named the volunteer recipient of the 2018 Frist Humanitarian Volunteer Award. 

Mullreed typically serves in the outpatient registration volunteer desk and in the gift shop. Described as extremely kind, caring and dedicated to serving patients and visitors at CMC, Mullreed has crocheted hundreds of beautiful baby caps and blankets for newborns at Cartersville Medical Center and frequently donates items to Hickory Log Vocational School and Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter. Additionally, she helps fellow volunteers by driving them to appointments and other necessary errands.
