A NIGHT LIKE NO OTHER
CARTERSVILLE GHOST WALK AND SPOOKY MUSEUM

October 1, 2015, Cartersville, GA
The Bartow History Museum is transforming into the Spooky Museum for our next Museum After Dark event, according to Jean Howington, Manager of Programs. On Saturday, October 10, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., all fairies, pirates, monsters, princesses, and others of their ilk are invited to join us for Halloween treats. Get your face painted, play games, create some Halloween magic at the craft stations, and partake of potions and goodies at the snack table if you dare! Visit the exhibit gallery to see some “paranormal” museum patrons, creepy crawlies, spooky surprises, and hear fun stories in the one-room school house. “This is a memorable night your kids won’t want to miss”, says Howington. “They will have the opportunity to experience the museum in a unique way that has never been done in the past.”

If you are up for more adventure, purchase your ticket for the Cartersville Ghost Walk. Take a guided tour around downtown Cartersville, while hearing harrowing stories of the lives, and deaths, of former residents. “The museum is excited to be teaming with TheatreExtreme”, states Trey Gaines, Director of the Bartow History Museum, “to bring this fun and entertaining event to downtown Cartersville.” Tours begin at 5 p.m. with the last one leaving at 10:30 p.m.

“Our theatre company is always looking for groups to team up with to bring people to Downtown Cartersville and throughout Bartow County for entertainment,” says Meghann K. Humphreys, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of TheatreExtreme. “Chris and I went on a ghost tour in another Northwest Georgia town and both came to the conclusion that we needed to do this in Cartersville.”

If you dare to participate, tickets are $15 which includes both the Cartersville Ghost Walk and admission to the Spooky Museum. Admission to the Spooky Museum only is included as part of the regular museum admission. The Ghost Walk may not be appropriate for young children. However, the Spooky Museum is open to all ages.

TheatreExtreme is offering $5 off admission to their performance that evening of Dial ‘M’ for Murder for those who bring their ticket stubs from Cartersville Ghost Walk and Spooky Museum. “You’ll be getting a night of entertainment for only $30,” adds Humphreys.
