Big Door Vineyards Receives Two Top Awards at Georgia Trustees Wine Competition Banquet
Big Door Vineyards received the Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge "General James Oglethorpe Award" for "Best Georgia Grown Wine of 2018" (Lenoir) sponsored by "Georgia Grown". Additionally, Big Door Vineyards received the "Thomas McCall Award" sponsored by the DuBose Porter Family for the "Best Hybrid Grape Wine, 2018" (Lenoir).
"We are stunned by these awards and can't believe we have been recognized for the amount of energy and sweat we have invested into Big Door Vineyards", said owner Rodney Alldredge. "Nights like tonight, ease the stress of what we have been through trying to get a vineyard opened in Cherokee County. We have struggled to get this done for two years!".
