ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN DUCK DERBY TO BE HELD OCTOBER 3, 2015 AT TERMINUS WAKE PARK IN LAKEPOINT SPORTING COMMUNITY

CARTERSVILLE, GA-MAY 14, 2015: Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 3, 2015 when 20,000 ducks will hit the water as part of the Advocates for Children Duck Derby. The fundraiser and fun event will take place at Terminus Wake Park, part of the LakePoint Sporting Community located in Emerson, Georgia.

Duck Derby is a fun event for the community and a great way to raise money for those in need. This will be the 14th annual swimming of the ducks. The event makes an exciting move to Terminus Wake Park this year after being hosted for many years at Riverside Day Use Area.

Duck Derby entails adopting a rubber duck; the purchaser receives a number while Advocates holds onto the actual rubber duck to go into the water. Duck adoption packages range from $5 to $250. All duck adoptions are an entry into the race, and every duck has a chance to win the grand prize and other outstanding prizes. On the day of the event, a minimum of 20,000 ducks are released into the water and the first duck selected will win the grand prize of $10,000.

Advocates welcomes those who would like to be a part of this exciting event to benefit neglected and abused children.
