Advocates for Children Duck Derby 2015 to Give Away $10,000 Grand Prize

ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN DUCK DERBY 2015 TO GIVE AWAY $10,000 GRAND PRIZE
CARTERSVILLE, GA-JULY 22, 2015: Each “adoption” of a (rubber) duck for this year’s Advocates for Children Duck Derby will offer a chance to win the guaranteed grand prize of $10,000 sponsored by Kennesaw Transportation and KTI Logistics, along with an opportunity to win an additional $1,000,000.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Terminus Wake Park in the LakePoint Sporting Community. A minimum of 20,000 rubber ducks will take a swim in one of the lakes at Terminus Wake Park. Quacky the duck, along with some of his wake boarding friends, will pluck the lucky duck to win the grand prize.
The Million Dollar Duck, sponsored by the Terry Reid Group, is a new addition to this year’s event. Twelve ducks will be randomly selected by a third party company prior to the race. If the grand prize duck is also one of the preselected Million Dollar Ducks then the grand prize winner will win $1,000,000 in addition to the $10,000 grand prize.
A few other exciting reasons to participate and attend the event include a food truck park that will include unique and delicious varieties of food on wheels from here to Atlanta and beyond. Attendees will also have the option to purchase an arm band for a beer and wine tasting. For $25.00 participants will be able to sample libations from well-known breweries such as Sweetwater, Burnt Hickory Brewery, and Duck Commander Wine, just to name a few.
While enjoying the food, beer and wine, patrons can sit back, relax and enjoy the music. Southern Devil Harley Davidson is sponsoring a concert on the sand of Rally Volleyball located next door to Terminus.
There will also be a kid zone where children can jump for joy on inflatables provided by Coosa Valley Credit Union. It will be a jam packed day full of fun, food and activities. One lucky duck will guarantee someone $10,000… maybe even $1,000,000! All of this will take place while helping Advocates provide much needed programs and services to over 3,000 children and families each year.
Duck purchases will begin on August 20, 2015 with a kick-off event to be held at Rally Volleyball pavilion, part of LakePoint Sporting Community.
