JOB TITLE: Youth Accountability Case Manager

SUMMARY: This is a grant—funded position and subject to the limitations of said grant. The Youth Accountability Case Manager serves the youth and their families directly, who primarily meet the criteria of CHINS (Children in Need of Services) and have barriers through which the Juvenile Court is equipped to address.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and facilitate intake with family
- Manage student caseload
- Coordinate and document student sessions at their school when necessary
- Monitor student progress for each student via Youth Accountability Card and Milestone evaluation
- Report student progress data to Program Director
- Coordinate services for families
- Check student’s grades and attendance via PowerSchool/Infinite Campus/School System Database
- Ongoing meetings with Director for case supervision and data reporting (PQI and grant reports)
- Attend Youth Accountability Board Meetings
- Attend Juvenile Court hearings
- Attend Youth Accountability community events (field trips, seminars, group meetings)
- Special Projects as assigned (community outreach/recruit community partners) by Program Director
- Demonstrate a commitment to PQI and attend meetings as required
- Demonstrates passion for the mission of Advocates for Children and a commitment to ensuring fairness and accessibility for all through active participation in related training and advocacy efforts.
- Provide other services as requested
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to supervise interns
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, exceptional critical thinking skills, good judgment and decision-making abilities to monitor and manage a caseload to ensure that obligations are met, and issues are addressed appropriately
- Ability to use customer service skills to include active listening and negotiation ability
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and consistent access to an insured vehicle
- Excellent oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment
- A Bachelors degree in related field (experience and/or skills may be substituted for type of degree)
- Must be very organized with high attention to detail
- Must be able to work flexible schedule that will include nights and weekends
