Job Description
The Etowah Scholarship Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Cartersville, GA, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill a flexible 20-hour a week Program Coordinator position, reporting to the Foundation’s Operations Director.
The candidate must have working knowledge of MS Office and social media outlets.  This individual should possess the ability to juggle multiple tasks, have a keen sense for details, be able to write compelling letters, problem solve with ease, and be a polished communicator.  We require this this individual to be able to work a few evening functions a year, and be able to lift 15 pounds.  Connection with members of the community is a plus.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Plans and coordinates all fundraisers and special events
  • Solicits donations for fundraising events and coordinates ticket sales
  • Identifies new donor leads and grant opportunities
  • Assists with scholarship application process
  • Supports staff members with various office and administrative duties (writing letters, mail merges, assisting donors and scholarship recipients, answering phones)
