Job Description
We are seeking a passionate individual committed to excellence to join our team as AFI's next Fragrance Compounder. As a compounder, you will be responsible for creating unique and high-quality fragrance blends for a variety of products. Your dedication to excellence will ensure that our fragrances consistently meet the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow safety protocols meticulously and maintain a clean and organized work area, upholding a culture of excellence in safety and cleanliness.
- Compound fragrance formulas for various products, including perfumes, candles, soaps, lotions, and other personal care items, with a commitment to excellence.
- Assists other compounders as needed.
- Accurately measure and weigh ingredients according to formulas and batch sizes, ensuring precision and excellence in every step.
- Pouring & weighing raw materials to create finished products, according to batch sheets.
- Makes sure all chemicals are returned to the proper area
- Completes all paperwork and batch documentation on a daily basis
- Communicates with production when batches are complete and ready to fill.
- Monitors all temperatures on batches that require heating and cooling.
- Verifies raw chemical usage on each batch are added correctly with correct weights.
- Able to work with limited supervision
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions including safety rules, operating procedures, batch recipes and material identification.
- Lifting containers and weighing (chemicals) liquids on scales to make a finished product
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Must have basic math skills
- The knowledge of pounds, kilos, and grams is a plus
Background Checks Required
Shifts: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 4:00am-12:30pm
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm
3rd Shift Sunday- Thursday 8:00pm-4:30am
