The Arab-Israeli Conflict Series

Tuesdays1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, & 2/27 from 3-3:45pm

Join us as for this five-week series as we trace the Israeli-Arab conflict from its Biblical roots through the Muslim conquests in the Early Middle Ages. We will then discover how the modern day return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland, culminating with the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, impacted on the region and spawned a variety of the Arab reactions. Our studies will take a balanced look at the bloodshed which has unfortunately plagued the region, and the numerous attempts to forge a lasting peace between Israel and her neighbors. We will then examine how the ever-changing political landscape of the contemporary Middle East provides new opportunities and challenges for achieving peace.
