Event Description:
Run, fly, or teleport to Superhero Saturday! Put on your superhero capes and masks and join Tellus Science Museum and the Atlanta CW for a day of super fun!
Enjoy various make-and-take activities and pose for photos in front of a cityscape with some of your favorite superheroes like Green Arrow, Black Panther, and Raven. In addition, the CW will be giving away prizes while supplies last.
ACTIVITIES: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Make a superhero bookmark
- Decorate your own power bracelet
- Complete an All-American Obstacle Course
- Play on the Fire Superhero Bounce House
- Win prizes from The CW Atlanta
SUPERHEROES: 11 AM – 1 PM and 2 – 4 PM
- Black Panther
- Green Arrow
- Batman
- Raven
MEET THE PROS: 1 – 4 PM
Representatives from Cartersville Police Department, Cartersville Fire Department and Bartow County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand to discuss their careers and how science affects their lives. PLUS, visit the back lawn to experience the Fire Safety House with Fire Marshall Mark Hathaway. Practice awakening to the sound of a smoke alarm in a controlled environment and learn how to escape your home in case of a fire. Fake smoke adds to the realism of this teaching environment!
