Event Description:
Using the sew-and-flip or “strip piecing” method, students will first complete two quilt blocks, stitching the strips onto batting and fabric. Then the blocks will be connected to create a small quilted mat ready to bind to finish. KITS will include two squares of backing fabric, two squares of batting and some strips 1” to 2” wide of various colors/prints. Connecting strips will also be provided. Note: You should be able to operate your sewing machine and sew a straight stitch. You do not need to have any experience with quilt construction. For more information, contact the Library.
