Reconstructing Plantation Life in the Etowah Valley: Archaeological Investigations at Walnut Grove On September 18 at noon the Bartow History Museum welcome KSU’s Dr. Terry Powis to its Lunch and Learn program. Dr. Powis will discuss his recent archaeological project in Cartersville. Attendees will learn about the history and archaeology of Walnut Grove, a local antebellum plantation, and learn about KSU student research and how it has impacted our understanding of the plantation. The program is free for members and included in the price of admission to the museum for non-members. Tickets are available at www.BartowHistoryMuseum.org.
