Event Description:
Try your hand at soapstone carving. Make a bluebird box. Ever made a quilt coaster? How about silk screening your own t-shirt? You can be a maker at the first Makers Festival in Georgia State Parks.

Makers present - Bluebird Box Maker, a Telescope Maker, Bead Artist, Soapstone Carver, Print Maker, Jewelers, Bat Box Builder, Iron Sculpture Maker, Cider Maker & many more. A food vendor will offer BBQ, Hamburgers and Corndogs.

Workshops teaching Soapstone Carving, Cabochan - Gem Shaping, Quilting, Seed Paper Making and Cider Pressing will be available throughout the day.

Following the Festival, enjoy Bluegrass Music at the Vaughn Cabin, Pack a blanket and enjoy makers & music on the green. Makers Festival and the Bluegrass Concert are free to the public - State Park Parking Fee of $5.

All programs start at the event field behind the Park Office.
