Name: Lunch + Learn: Morse Code
Date: August 30, 2023
Time: 12:15 PM - 2:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Ever since Samuel Morse’s first message in 1884, “What hath God wrought,” his Morse Code has been present in our lives. We may have heard the code in movies, television, radio, and even in music. But what is this code, how do we understand it, and is it still useful in our digital age? Tellus Educator Bob Finger will answer these questions and more as we examine the history and application of this form of communication.

The Lunch + Learn lecture begins at 12:15 PM. No outside food is allowed but you are welcome to buy lunch in the Café and bring it into the lecture, or just come hear the lecture. All Lunch + Learns are FREE for members and included in regular admission for non-members. Presentations are recommended for ages 8 and up, unless otherwise indicated.
