Dr. Renee Carleton, Associate Professor of Biology at Berry College, will lead a program on making your yard more appealing to hummingbirds. Topics will include how to set up a feeder, migration patterns, recognizing native & migratory species, and hummingbird friendly plants. Programs will be at 10:30 & 11:30 am and 12:30 & 1:30 PM. In addition to her faculty position, Dr. Carleton is editor of the Georgia Ornithological Society's journal, a Master Gardener Volunteer, a federally licensed bird bander, and a small animal veterinarian.
Trails will be open for interpreted or self-guided hikes & there will be a craft and activities for children. Admission is $3 per person/max $10 per family but is free to Preserve members.
