Name: Explore Nature Saturday: Mammals in Winter
Date: December 9, 2017
Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Event Description:

Come explore the trails at the Preserve! Three trails offer options for hiking (.25 mi to 1.75mi), all around or near the 10-acre lake. You can bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the Lake Pavilion or at the Learning Shed. Bring family, friends, or even your leashed dog.

This month's program emphasis: Mammals in Winter. Do mammals in Georgia hibernate? If not, what do they do when the weather turns cold? Learn what animals do to get through the winter and what happens when there is an especially warm or cold winter. Hiking is on your own, but a Preserve educator will be onsite to answer questions and provide educational tools for you to take on the trail.

Kids can check out Adventure Backpacks to use on the trail and there will be a fun craft at the Learning Shed.
Admission is $3 per person/maximum $10 per family, free to Preserve members.
