Event Description:
Advocates for Children announces the 2014 performance of Every Child’s a Star

The 21st annual Every Child’s a Star talent show will held Friday, March 21 at Woodland High Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Directed and produced by Regina Gilbert and a group of generous volunteers, this year’s talent show is the biggest yet.

With 21 individual acts and 10 group acts, these talented youth are set to entertain the masses with outstanding singing, dancing and various other performances. This year we have added additional categories because of the extraordinary turnout during auditions and hope to find the 2014 Every Child’s a Star winner among them!

“For 21 years now, Every Child’s a Star has been a great way for kids in this community to help other kids right here: their fellow students, neighbors, or church friends.  It means so much when our performers give up their time to try out, spend hours practicing and fine tuning their acts, and inviting their friends and families to buy tickets to enjoy the show.  They make new friends along the way, and are reminded of one of my favorite phrases: ‘Doing Good Feels Good’,” says Patty Eagar, executive director of Advocates for Children.

In addition to 31 incredible acts that evening, Advocates will also be announcing the winner of the 2013 Wheego Life, a two seater, electric vehicle being auctioned off in order to raise additional funds to buy a new van for Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter. Raffle tickets to can be purchased online at www.AdvoChild.org to enter to win.

Tickets for Every Child’s a Star can be purchased through the talent show participants or by calling Cindy Farmer at 770.386.0194. For more information about Advocates, please visit AdvoChild.org.
