Event Description:
Bartow County Master Gardeners Jim & Marcia Humphreys will present a program on Creating a Pollinator Garden with an emphasis on using native species. The program will be presented at 10:30 am, 11:30 am & 12:30 pm and will include planting a small section of garden at each session for hands-on experience. Jim is known for his weekly gardening column in the Cartersville Daily Tribune and Marcia is a retired educator who shares her passion for gardening volunteering at the South Central Middle School gardening program. 

Choose from one of the Preserve's three trails, which will be open for interpreted or self-guided hikes. Visitors are welcome to bring leashed dogs on the trails. There will be a craft and activities for children.
Admission is $3 per person/max $10 per family but is free to Preserve members.

Pettit Environmental Preserve. Use Douthit Bridge Rd, Dallas, GA in your GPS to locate the turn off Hwy 61, then follow the signs to the Preserve, located on the Bartow-Paulding Co. line.
