The Bartow History Museum announces its Sip ‘N Stroll scheduled for May 24th at 7 p.m. Attendees will meet at the Bartow History Museum where they will be invited to enjoy a glass of wine or lemonade and some light snacks. Afterwards, participants will take a guided tour around historic downtown Cartersville where individuals will hear details about its history. Learn about the 1869 courthouse, home to the Bartow History Museum, once housed a roller skating rink. Discover the link daredevil and aviatrix Mabel Cody had with The Grand Theatre, hear about the world’s first outdoor Coca-Cola sign, and more. Return to the Bartow History Museum to enjoy a beverage before taking a self-guided tour of the museum. According to Joshua Graham, Manager of Programs at the museum, “This is fun way to learn a little about the history of the historic downtown area while enjoying its current charm. We hope to see both long term residents who can comment on their own memories as well as perhaps those new to the area that want to learn a little something about the history of the downtown.” Tickets are $8 for members and $10 for non-members (ticket price includes wine). Tickets are on sale now at www.BartowHistoryMuseum.org.
