Event Description:
Pursuit of a Better Life Book Discussion

The Bartow History Museum welcomes Victor Mulinix as speaker at the upcoming Lunch & Learn program on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.  His topic will be Pursuit of a Better Life, the autobiography of his late mother, Mrs. Martha Mulinix.

Among many other things, Martha Mulinix was an educator, a prolific quilter, and an active member of the Kingston Woman’s History Club for over 50 years. Challenged by her doctor to write a book about her life, she chronicles her life with stories of her early life, education, married life and family, travels, preservation work, quilting, and much more.  Despite being in declining health and blind, with the help of family and friends, she completed the book just before her death in February 2013.

Lunch & Learn will take place on June 18, 2014, at noon.  Guests are invited to bring a lunch and the doors will open at 11:45 a.m.  Books are available in the Museum Gift Shop.

The Bartow History Museum is located at 4 E. Church Street in downtown Cartersville.  The lecture is free to members and included with the price of admission for not-yet members.  For more information on this and other BHM programs, call 770-382-3818, ext. 6288 or visit our website at www.bartowhistorymuseum.org.
