Name: Annual Feed the Community Dinner, In Honor of Michael Dean
Date: November 18, 2023
Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST
Event Description:
On Saturday, November 18th, New Frontier's Annual Feed the Community Dinner, In Honor of Michael Dean will return. The dinner will be held 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Cartersville Civic Center located at 435 West Main Street. The event will feature a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, as well as other services including blood pressure checks, free clothing, books, and free haircuts. The dinner is open to everyone in the community including our senior citizens, shelter residents, families, veterans, or those just wishing to fellowship with their neighbor. We especially hope for new residents of Bartow County to come out and experience the love and support of their new community.

After taking a break due to the pandemic, our hope is to be back in full swing serving thousands of local residents. Individuals or organization that would like to volunteer should contact William Solomon at (404) 625-3880. Volunteer opportunities include serving of the food, helping with the clothing closet, parking lot attendants, and clean up. This is a great opportunity for high school students in need of volunteer service hours and businesses with employees ready to give back to the community.

Free transportation is being provided by Bartow Transit to and from the event. To schedule a pickup call (770) 387-5165 before the day of the event.

It has always been the goal of this organization to ensure that no one leaves the dinner hungry. In order to accomplish this worthwhile cause, we are asking for your help in order to fully fund this event. Companies and individuals wishing to donate can make a contribution online at https://secure.processdonation.org/Thenewfrontierinc/Donation.aspx. Donations can also be sent via mail to New Frontier of Bartow County at P.O. Box 1891, Cartersville, GA 30120.

Donations of clothing, toys, and children's books are also being accepted.  A drop-off location has been established at the Summer Hill Complex, located at 129 Aubrey Street in Cartersville, every Tuesday, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Please ask for Dr. Maurice Wilson.

New Frontier looks forward to once again providing the Bartow County community the opportunity to serve and interact with each other.
