“An Evening in Oak Hill Cemetery” Tour


The Bartow History Museum and Stage Works, Inc. invite you to join us for our 12th annual tour of historic Oak Hill Cemetery, located in Cartersville, Georgia. The tour will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Over the past 11 years, through costumed interpreters, tour participants have met a variety of people from Bartow’s past, including writers, teachers, politicians, preachers, mill workers, children, and soldiers. In addition to learning about Oak Hill Cemetery, participants will learn about the important role these people played in shaping Bartow County.

This is a walking tour and will require walking on concrete, grass, and small inclines. Please wear comfortable shoes. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. “An Evening in Oak Hill Cemetery” is sponsored by Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Ticket prices for this event are $15 for Bartow History Museum members and $20 for not-yet members. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Bartow History Museum Gift Shop located at 4 East Church Street, in downtown Cartersville, by calling 770-387-2774, or online at https://campscui.active.com/orgs/BartowHistoryMuseum. Tickets are on a first come first serve basis for tours beginning at 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.
