Anheuser-Busch is bringing an authentic German Oktoberfest to the Cartersville Brewery on Oct. 3 and 4. The weekend-long event, full of traditional Oktoberfest festivities, will celebrate great beer, food and entertainment in a festive setting. Oktoberfest will begin with a ceremonial tapping of the keg, performed by a brewmaster and local dignitary. Once the keg is tapped, guests 21 and over will have the opportunity to participate in a ceremonial toast. Following the toast, visitors will be able enjoy a variety of German-style beers, such as Spaten, Franziskaner and other seasonal favorites, paired with traditional German fare such as bratwursts, Bavarian pretzels and gingerbread cookies. Visitors can also participate in traditional German games and enjoy German music and entertainment. In addition, to celebrate their 82nd anniversary with Anheuser-Busch this year, the famous Budweiser Clydesdales will visit the Brewery this weekend. The Budweiser Clydesdales will parade around the facility grounds and consumers can interact with the hitch team.
